Tara Allinger | Social Media Coordinator
Tara grew up in the small town of Bucyrus, Ohio, where she first began building the kind of relationships and community she still values deeply today. Although she grew up in the Lutheran church, it was through Young Life in high school that her faith in Jesus became personal. She attended Capital University, where she studied marketing, played volleyball, led Young Life College, and met her husband, Sam. During college, she found herself drawn to non-denominational church communities and eventually found her way to Contrast in 2022 while searching for a smaller, more intentional church family.
Not long after joining Contrast, she began serving on the creative team and eventually stepped into leading social media efforts in 2025 following the church-wide “quiet year.” Helping revive and grow Contrast’s online presence alongside the team has become one of her favorite creative outlets, and nothing encourages her more than hearing someone say they first discovered Contrast through social media.
Over the years, Tara has worked in a variety of marketing and communications roles managing social media, email marketing, website management, and graphic design for a handful of private companies and public organizations. She’s also currently pursuing her Master’s in Professional Communication through the University of Findlay, because having “free time” is overrated.
Outside of work and church, Tara loves workout classes, iced lattes, rec league volleyball games, and spending time with people she loves. She and Sam recently bought their first home in Westerville, where they live with their labradoodle, Maya.
