Sam Allinger | Facilities Coordinator

Sam grew up just north of Columbus and attended The Ohio State University, where he studied health sciences. While he grew up in a Christian home, it was during college that his faith truly became his own through a Bible study led by Navigators staff at Ohio State.

Currently, Sam is pursuing his Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies and plans to work full-time as a PA after graduating in 2027. Between classes, studying, and church life, he enjoys powerlifting, watching sports, and rec league softball.

Sam and Tara began attending Contrast in 2022 and quickly found the kind of authentic community they had been hoping for. In 2025, Sam stepped into the role of Facilities Coordinator, where he faithfully serves behind the scenes to help maintain and improve church spaces however needed. Whether it’s fixing something, building something, changing the toilet paper, or helping make spaces feel more welcoming and functional, he loves being part of creating an environment where people can encounter Jesus and feel at home.

Sam and Tara met during their senior year of college and got married shortly after graduating. They recently bought their first home in Westerville and spend most of their free time chasing around their dog, Maya, debating house projects, and pretending they know what they’re doing as homeowners.
